Suzy has a degree in experiential education and ecopsychology. I had some beautiful experiences at Prescott College getting to know the southwest, practicing community activism, reflecting on cultural perspectives, and diving into the psyche. Through my twenties, I got to experience comfortable and uncomfortable chapters with travel and personal development. My work has largely revolved around healthy food — cooking, farming, working in health food stores, and helping to put out a permaculture podcast — and I also spent two years working in the school system.

I decided in 2015 that my desire was to have a little health food store. I am so grateful for all of the support I have received in bringing this desire to life

When she was working at The Food Conspiracy Co-Op in Tucson, a customer of mine wished me a Happy Interdependence Day. He then smiled and said, “…because we all need each other.”

That message has stayed with me these past few years and has offered me inspiration and a sense of purpose regarding the store.

Accomplished painter, sculptor, speaker and writer, Sherab "Shey" Khandro draws inspiration from her years of philosophical study and over two decades of work as a professional in the visual arts. Formally trained by Tibetan masters in exile in the U.S., Sherab Khandro brings years of spiritual training to all of her work. Exploring symbols within our modern culture, imbuing her work with intention, she tells a story, inviting us to remember what is important in life and the qualities we are committed to embracing for the benefit of all.

Through symbols of transformation: images of the Buddha and totems found in nature, she reminds us of our own natural beauty, and the power of small acts to make a difference. Drawn to the architecture of a composition in both paintings and sculpture, she is equally inspired by the play of color and the exploration dimension and form. Often interactive, her sculpture is an invitation to engage.

Using the detailed technique of pointillism in her paintings, the neo-impressionist style in which tiny dots of color create rich and vibrant imagery. With each stroke of the brush comes a prayer of compassion. Each dot, offered as a jewel, a prayer to end suffering in the world.

The Full Moon of May

The Festival of Wesak is the Festival of the Buddha, the spiritual intermediary between the highest spiritual centre, Shamballa, and the Hierarchy.  talk about th importance of this time and how we can be int tune with the energy at this time. The Buddha is the expression of the wisdom of God, the embodiment of light and the indicator of divine purpose. This Festival is fixed annually in relation to the full moon of May; it is the great Eastern Festival.
