2014 Grammy® Award Winner, ‘Peace Ambassador’and US Billboard #1 artist Ricky Kej is an internationally renowned Indian Music Composer and Producer. He is the youngest Indian to win the Grammy® Award. 

Rickys Grammy® winning album "WINDS OF SAMSARA" was based on the ideals of peace by Mahatma Gandhi and Nelson Mandela. Ricky is also part of 3 albums Nominated for the 2015 Grammy® Awards 

Recently Ricky Kej composed and produced the album ‘Shanti Samsara’ which was launched by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and French President Francois Hollande in the presence of World Leaders at the recently concluded United Nations COP21 Paris Summit. This album has gone on to Winning ‘The Global Music Award 2015’.Ricky has composed music for over 3,000 commercials, 15 studio albums (released internationally) and 3 feature films and has also composed the score for the opening ceremony of the Cricket World Cup 2011, held in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
Ricky was recently conferred the title "Pride of Karnataka" and “Youth Icon of India"
 Ricky Kej actively works for Conservationism, Music Therapy in Autism, raising standards of music education in India and to set up a pension fund for old and infirm musicians.  He also promotes Gender Equality in Workplace through various forums. He is also the first and only musical ambassador from India for Project Peace on Earth, a Los Angeles-based organization. http://www.rickykej.com

A talk with Grammy Nominee Chorney who made history as the first truly independent artist to get nominated for a Grammy without a label, manager or publicist, for BEST AMERICANA ALBUM "EMOTIONAL JUKEBOX" for the 54th GRAMMY AWARDS.. As of the year 2016 she has released 7 CD's, 3 cassettes, 1 book, 1 documentary and garnered 1 Grammy nomination. She has performed on all seven continents, but only one planet. Her goal is to get 1 Grammy and sing on 2 planets.
Highlights in her career thus far are singing for Nelson Mandela, in front of a crowd of 250,000 humans. And of course playing in Sports bars where no one is listening. Kathy won a 2015 American Songwriting Award for her single, "Fantasy," which is included on her new release, Lights of Laniakea.Kathy Sanborn is an American award-winning jazz singer, composer, and recording artist. Famous for her velvet voice, Sanborn performs with an elegance that can take your breath away. Kathy takes jazz and world music into the modern era with her sultry, contemporary sound. Kathy won a 2015 American Songwriting Award for her world single, "Fantasy," produced by 2015 GRAMMY® winner Ricky Kej. Recording engineer John Neff talks about his fascinating music background

 Had a great talk with my friend John Neff.  John Neff is a recording engineer and producer, based in Portland, Oregon for the last five years, currently operating out of two studios. His record career started in 1965, with the making of The Ascots record, “So Good”, which he wrote. A second single followed in 1967, with an album in 1969. From 1971 to 1973 he was staff session guitarist working for  producer Don Davis at United Sound in Detroit, playing on close to 200 songs for such artists as Mary Wells, Isaac Hayes, Johnny Nash, Curtis Mayfield, Billy Paul, The Spinners and others.   The mid 70s saw him touring the US and and internationally with several Detroit based groups. In 1977 he joined Steppenwolf and toured with them, followed by Hoyt Axton and Redeye in the late 70s. 1979 saw a move to Maui, Hawaii, where he retired from touring but not the music business. Neff did a morning radio show for nine years, started a Hawaiian record company and built a recording studio with Walter Becker from Steely Dan. Artists worked with there include Buffy Ste. Marie, Donald Fagen and Willie Nelson.  Moving back to the mainland in 1993, he spent a dozen years in Hollywood, nine of which were working with film director David Lynch. He recorded the scores for and mixed the films, “The Straight Story” and “Mulholland Drive” for which he received a technical Oscar nomination. He also mixed all of David’s earlier films in 5.1 surround for their DVD releases and has an album out with Lynch titled “BlueBOB”.    A move to Marin County in 2005 resulted in John working at the legendary Plant Studios with artists such as Journey, Sammy Hagar, Michael Franti and more.

 

John has mixed 17 Feature Films, and three shorts, and worked on approximately 450 music recordings over the last fifty years in the business, and been nominated for a Grammy as well as receiving numerous Gold and Platinum awards.
