A talk with Gary Schmidt in Colorado. His first recording in 2016 “Landscapes of the Heart was produced by Windham Hill founder, Will Ackerman. It went on to win the award forBest Piano with Instruments from both One World Radio, based out of the UK, and Enlightened piano radio.
His second recording in 2018 “Even for a Moment” was released by Heart Dance Records and again was nominated for Best Piano with Instruments from One World Radio (it won third).
Along the way he appeared as performer in award ceremonies at both Carnegie Hall and the Grand Old Opry.

Shan Dan Horan graduated with a degree in Marketing, with an emphasis on Commercial Advertisement he moved to Chicago Illinois to work for a Michigan Ave marketing company. During his employment he worked on Campaigns for Barack Obama to International Fortune 500 companies. After working on multi-million dollar corporate marketing world, Shan Dan decided to get back in touch with the music industry.
Working with/at labels such as Century Media records, Sony BMG, Universal Republic, Nuclear Blast, to name just a few. He has Solidified himself as an expert in his field with his outside the box marketing approach earning a slew of awards, magazine features, and work published in hard cover publications.

NUKA, the restaurant, was born of a love for food and culture. Restaurant creators Yuri, DeWitt, and Moon have long admired the natural simplicity
and unique artistry of Japanese cuisine. Together with executive chef, Hiro Takanashi, we believe food tastes best when prepared simply. Supporting local farmers and fishermen is a priority as well as a responsibility at NUKA. In addition to supplementing the menu with our own organically farmed fruits and vegetables from NUKA farms, we aim to bring local and seasonal ingredients to the table as often as possible.
Food has the power to bring people together and we hope to enhance this experience by offering delicious meals in the heart of Haiku.
