Leona Duarte - Maui Sales Executive for Hawaiian AIrlines talks about the expansion of its West Coast presence by adding direct routes between Portland and Maui; Oakland and Kauai; and Los Angeles and Kona. The arrival of A321neo jets enabled the expansion, the airline said.“The introduction of A321neo service to the Western U.S. heralds the dawn of a new era for Hawaiian Airlines and its guests,” said Peter Ingram, executive vice president and chief commercial officer at Hawaiian Airlines, in a statement.

 The service between Portland and Maui will launch on Jan. 18. The airline’s seasonal service between Oakland and Kauai will be offered until Sept. 4. The route will resume on April 11 as a daily A321neo flight. The daily flight between Los Angeles and Kona launches March 11 with widebody aircraft. The A321neo will be introduced to this route in the summer of 2018.

The airline’s maiden A321neo flight between West Coast and Hawaii will be Jan. 8 on its existing Oakland-Maui service.

.From AUGUST 4-6, 2017, Ebb & Flow Arts present concerts, master classes, and informances that feature music for four violins. Leading members of San Francisco Symphony's first violin section - Sarn Oliver, Mariko Smiley, Melissa Kleinbart, and Yun Chu - will perform original and E&FA-commissioned works for four violins, and duo violins.

Sarah Betcher talks about Northwestern Alaska

Sarah will present a 6-part documentary series which focuses on ten Alaskan villages adapting to changes in climate, weather patterns and the development of active hunters, fishermen and gatherers.
