 Keola Beamer, Christopher Hedge, Tom Vendetti talk about Himalayan Sessions.

There will be a CD release party celebrating the release of Himalayan Sessions at Makawao Union Church on Saturday September 7^that 6pm.  There will be opening remarks by Keola Beamer. Tom Vendetti’s film featuring an interview with His Holiness the 14^thDalai Lama and a screening of the Oscar nominated film, Himalaya.

The CD Himalayan Sessions is music recorded on location in Nepal, Tibet and Bhutan with local musicians featuring Paul Horn, Keola Beamer and Christopher Hedge. The album also features His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama sharing his wisdom and words on four beautiful songs. The music is a result of years of recordings, starting in 1991 for Tom Vendetti’s documentary films that have been featured on PBS and around the world. The album authentically taps into the spirit of the Tibetan culture, people; expressed in compassionately, honoring their struggle for cultural reunification and free access to their homeland.
